Problems receiving a high internet bill in On Your Own Coast-to-Coast when internet service was not selected.

Versions Affected:

On Your Own Coast-to-Coast 5.5
Please note: Do not install this software patch if you are using version 5.0-5.4.

Problem:

Your students may receive an unusually high internet bill when that service was not actually selected during the Moving In section of the simulation. This will occur if students have chosen to live with a roommate and have not selected internet service. This problem should not occur if students have chosen to live alone or if they have selected to have internet service.

Solution:

Download and install the appropriate software patch below for Windows or Mac.

Windows:
1. Download the file above
2. Right click on the downloaded file
3. Click "Extract all"
4. Click the "Next" button
5. Click the "Browse" button and locate the "movies" directory inside of the original program installation—for example, F:\Courses\OYOCTC\movies
6. Click the "OK" button
7. Click the "Next" button
8. Windows will display a "Confirm File Replace" dialog box—click the "Yes to All" button
9. Click the "Finish" button
Download Patch
Macintosh:
1. Download the file above
2. Double click on the downloaded file
3. Drag the files included in the archive to the "movies" directory inside of the original program installation—for example, Macintosh HD\Documents\OYOCTC\movies
4. The Mac OS will ask if you want to replace the existing items in the location—select "Apply to all" and "Replace"
